District Guide
Port Klang, located in Selangor, offers more than just residential options. It acts as the official sea port of the state. The area is served by the KTM Komuter, thus linking it to major cities in the belt like Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya. Since it is located near water, it also has a ferry terminal. Roads that lead to Port Klang include the Pulau Indah Expressway, connecting to the KESAS Highway and a road connecting the area of Pulau Indah (Port Klang's west port) to Putrajaya through the SKVE is to be unveiled in 2012.
The area has been divided into ports according to what direction they are in. The west port houses the Port Klang Cruise Centre, a port for travellers. The northern point serves multiple purposes with regards to port duty and is where the Kelang Container Terminal (KCT) and the Kelang Port Management (KPM) are based. As for the residents, living certainly is influenced by the sea, with most cuisine being that of seafood and restaurants and hotels being by the water. Its main urban residency is located in its west port.
